An overview of all the computing tools I currently employ for projects
and for play as well. My philosophy regarding computers or technology in
general is not having the most powerfull tool in the shed - I find more
joy in re-speccing old gear for modern usage.

Some aspects I don't mind having the best of the best, like guitars or where
performance really matters (like cars or some electronics) - the bliss of squeezing
every bit of power you can from a more weathered machine is absolutely fantastic.

Hardware

PrimeZuko:

CPU: Intel i7-6700K
GPU: Radeon RX 580
RAM: Corsair 2x16GB DDR4-3200
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 5
Storage: 250GB SSD
PSU: ?????
Cooling: RGB Fans
Display: Dell U2212HM, HP w1907
OS: Windows 10x Pro x64
WM: Explorer
Keyboard: RisoPhy 104 Keys Full-size Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Mouse: Zelotes C-12 Custom Gaming Mouse

What started as a hand me down PC case and PSU from my little brother turned
into pretty much a full PC lol.

This my daily driver, I mainly use to program, techie stuff or browse the
youtubez - I occasionally game on this if I feel like it. Mostly used for
research purposes, some programming here and there and trading ideas.

I recently upgraded my GPU to a RX 580, it's been a week. Just waiting to see
if there are any kinks running normal, I might decide to overclock it, not really
sure. Also upgraded to an I7-6700K coming used from ebay. Once I tasted how quick
i7s' were compared to everything else, I could not go back. I was thinking of getting
the 7xxxK series but after some research, there wasn't really a big gap in performance
between them so I settled for the 6700k.

[WIP] no real ideas so far, maybe more RAM or SSD.

CPU: Intel i7-4790
GPU: NVIDIA Quadro P400 2GB
RAM: 2x 16GB Kit (2x8GB) DDR3 / DDR3L 1600MHz UDIMM
Motherboard: ASUS B85M-G R2.0 M-ATX LGA1150 SOCKET
Storage: 150GB SSD Main, 3 SSD alternates
PSU: 500 Watt
Cooling: DIYPC DIY-S08-BK Black USB 3.0 Steel / Tempered Glass ATX Mid Tower
Display: Phillips 20'
OS: Windows 10x Pro x64
WM: Explorer
Keyboard: Logitech Full Keyboard & I8 Mini Wireless Keyboard
Mouse: Reddragon Gaming Mouse

This was my main daily driver last year, it was a christmas present from my sister.
I mainly use this as a backup, a file server, media player & computational
projects that I want to offload. I also sometimes use it as a private game server.

I chose the Quadro P400 as a GPU because if I ever want to encode videos, this has a
pretty modern version of NVENC compared to the other GPUs' that I have laying around
and this was a steal.

CPU: AMD E-300 APU
GPU: AMD ATI Radeon HD 611
RAM: 5 GB RAM DDR3 SDRAM
Motherboard: AMD A50M Chipset
Storage: 500GB SSD
PSU: 65 Watt AC Adapter
Cooling: N/A
Display: N/A
OS: Manjaro Arch
WM: i3
Keyboard: N/A
Mouse: N/A

I mainly use this to play around the ArchLinux environment where my future progression
with it is to use for cybersec fun. I use pacman for managing applications, Alacritty
for terminal l33tness and bash as a shell. This machine used to be controlled by a virtual
KVM but I ended up switching to an analog one because the program, Barrier, seems to be broken
or a newer version is in the repo while the windows version is a slightly older build.

This laptop, while I don't want it to happen, is my throwaway gear since I'll be trying
to pull off some dubious stuff on this LOL.

.....

More to come as I am working on bringing back 2 ASUS computers and some sort of
Rasperberry project.

OS: Windows 10x Pro x64
WM: Explorer
Keyboard: CACKBIRD Portable 60% Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Mouse: Lychee High Performance USB Wired Optical Gaming Mouse

This was a birthday present from my sister but I've been out of the loop
in regards to hardware for years, I remember this Optiplex because there
was a year where everyone was buying this for budget gaming builds.

This my daily driver, I mainly use to program, techie stuff or browse the
youtubez - I occasionally game on this if I feel like it. Mostly used for
research purposes and trading ideas. I feel like there a 1 millisecond lag
doing stuff but I feel like it's more of a Windows 11 problem than a computer
problem because if I reinstall Windows 7 or Arch on this, performance would not
be an issue.

I use Windows Terminal, VSCode, and Office Suite 97 mostly on this. I run
Google Chrome as my main browser as well so I don't have to worry about
syncing my stuff and I faily use Google tools alot. I am now using the Scoop
package manager mostly. I also use this for work sometimes but I might but
a laptop for that as I tend to reset my computer and I don't want to have to
call my IT guy every month or so LOL.

As well, I have a couple of mechanical keyboard and mice that I switch around
whenever I feel like but I only use mechanical keyboard and gaming mices. I'm
a firm believer of tactile responses and muscle memory so I tend to use the
same tools over and over again.

[WIP] ideas for upgrade are NVME adapter, CPU cooling, case mod,
updated PSU and Rx 6400 low profile GPU (final upgrade).

Cooling: Open Air Concept
Display: Phillips 20'
OS: Windows 10x Pro x64

This was my main daily driver for years, also the first PC I bought and built
myself. I mainly use this as a backup, a file server, media player & computational
projects that I want to offload. I also sometimes use it as a private game server.

I mostly played PC games on this LOL or web stuff, not a lot of technical stuff as I
always had a spare computer running where I was doing my projects. I feel like I didn't
do as much technical stuff with this PC but I was probably wrong, I just can't remember
what I used to do on this, some programming maybe?

Oh music stuff, I was really heavy into music production when this was my daily driver.
